It ’s not well-fixed to find colorful plants to make a splatter in shade container . The rex begonia vine ( Cissus discolor , USDA Hardiness Zone 11 )   is one not bad plant that does the job . It ’s an Asian tropical vine with deep green leaves and bright , silvery banding , and purple undersides that give the flora a deep rosy glowing . It produce up to 6 feet tall in a season and mix well with a multitude of other container plant , but it ’s also compelling in a pot on it ’s own with a treillage to go up on .
