The artists instal " Falling Garden " inside San Staë Christian church , on the Grand Canal , at the fiftieth Venice Biennial . According to the artists , the church building was built as a mausoleum for a seventeenth - centurydoge(duke ) , who was entomb in the meat , under an arrangement of skeletons and a grin skull .
