Mary Quigley and her married man have built one outstanding forest property in the mountains of North Carolina .
" My husband and I have lived in the mountains of western North Carolina for 17 twelvemonth , where we have 150 ( mostly wooded ) acres with 3 ponds , a horse cavalry farm , and 2 watercourse pass through it . We have savour let so much space to learn to garden and experience fortunate to steward such a beautiful spot . Visitors always annotate on how passive our place is . It is fill with large boulders and rhododendron . After years of dreaming and planning , last twelvemonth we build a walled garden and found a formal gnarl . There is still much to do to design and plant the outer beds and surrounding areas , but we are learning so much and enjoying the challenge . This year I started send a day-to-day photograph on Instagram of something on our property , trying to keep track of when plant flower , as well as learning to look more closely at the domain around me . Check it out @mountain_stills on Instagram . "
