So I hope you all have been busybodied planting in May and now in June . I just contain the last paries of piss ( WOWs ) off the tomato as it is going to get very hot mid workweek and I did n’t want to fry them inside the WOWs . So I commend you take them off as soon as possible , if you have n’t already . Typical of our weather , our outside temp go from coolheaded to HOT very fast in June .
coolheaded season crops
I previously constitute cabbage , cauliflower , broccoli , chard , beet , carrots and radishes - all in one seam . I call it my ‘ cool season ’ crops bed . The Gallic breakfast radishes we harvest yesterday but still have watermelon radishes ( my favorite ) almost ready to harvest . That bed has been deal in row cover to keep it cooler .

cool season crops
All lettuces / spinach have been harvest in the green house and the green house is now keep out down for summer as it gets too red-hot in there . Since we had such a coolheaded spring , they last much longer than I expect . A bumper craw of lettuce !
tomato coop cover with words cover .
I also comprehend my Lycopersicon esculentum plant with row natural covering around their batting cage to keep the common beet leafhopper from biting the plants , giving them Curly Top Virus and killing them . It ’s an extra measure but well worth it .

tomato cages covered with row cover.
I will take off the row cover when the monsoons come - usually the week after July 4 although weatherpeople say maybe the monsoon will come June 15 - hopefully we will get them this year . There are tons of pics on this web site of how I cover them . Go to the tomato part on the good side of the web log under vegetables .
common pepper
I put my peppers in their raised layer last Friday 05 - 31 - 24 and put rowing cover over their frame to keep them warmer when nighttime temporary drop .

pepper
I also planted semen for all flower in May and beans , cucumbers and summer squash this week - june 5 . wintertime squash germ will go in by the weekend as soon as I finish pulling a few weeds and contribute lots of compost to a newer bed as squash roll in the hay aged compost .

grape flowers
Meanwhile the grapes have their flowers and baby grapes start , blackberries and raspberries are develop but no yield yet ( too early ) but we did get our first strawberry mark of this season this week - just a handful but long ton more on the way . They are June bearing strawberry . I transplanted my rhubarb in former May as it was in too much tint so do n’t cognize if I ’ll get any of that this year .
The garlic and shallots I planted last gloaming should be ready this calendar month to reap .
Although only the bloom ejaculate have germinated , all noodle and cuke should germinate by next hebdomad . and the squash the week after . I can already see them in my judgement ’s eye …
