It ’s time for some unripened melon tree formula !
We have our first ripe papaya of the year this morning ; a delicious lily-livered - skinned oblong with deep orangish - ruddy flesh . The penchant as superb , and there are many , many other papaya on the tree that would before long ripen … if I did n’t know in North Florida .
Frosts are on their way . Some Clarence Day before long , the 100lbs+ of green papaya tree on my Tree require to be pick or they ’ll be destroyed by frost .

I love , my competitiveness to originate tropical fruit here is an uphill battle . But I ’m dedicate todoing the unsufferable !
That said , I still need to compute out what to do with trillion of green fruit . There are only so many we can eat up bracing , so I ’ve been hunting down recipe on the web involving ferment or vinegar pickling .
Here are a few I ’ve found so far , include a sweet relish formula where I ’ll deputise unripened papaya for cucumber . Anyone have any more suggestions ?

Made sauerkraut manner and chock full of endearing probiotics . I get laid this on my salad , in soups or as a collation with some raw snapper . Ingredients :
1 cuke1/2 small ruby-red bell pepper1/2 tsp salt(Read the resthere )
One other affair I could do is simply chop all my green papaya into pieces , then apply a Kosher Anethum graveolens fix formula on them and see how they turn out .
Papaya do n’t have much feeling at all when they ’re green – I imagine I could step in them for just about anything .
