We have so much to see , so we best get started . Let ’s commence with an update on my latestFlower Garden Makeover . And , yikes we need some rain , the forage is expect very hungry .

Here ’s a colorful little grouping of fiddling Moonshine Yarrow , Balloon Flower and an orange Geranium , along with myfavorite little bunny legislative act . Just a side note , the geraniums were over - winter and if you ’re interested in learn how , control out thispost .

This quoin garden bed is in a very visible office , as our home sit on the recession of a busy street . I feel like it want to front good all the time , but I will secern you it ’s a challenge . The snow from the intersection always gets piled on this niche , so with all the wet and salt in the winter , it has been a caboodle of trial and error to see what plants will thrive in this garden . Instead of plants acquire adult every year , they seem to get smaller every yr . Ugh ! All we can do is our best , right ?
July is the sentence of year when the daylilies depart taking center stagecoach in perennial gardens . Here ’s a brand young day lily to my garden . Her name is Glistening Bouquet .
Natural elements like field stones and Boulder add so much graphic symbol to a garden . This garden has 2 vast granite boulders and is border with field stones .
A few more update groupings from this flower bed . well-chosen Returns daylily and Powwow Wild Berry Coneflowers .

Let ’s head across the crispy front lawn , with crazy grasshopper jumping up in front of us , to the garden that border our driveway . It ’s been a few old age since we moved into our methadon upper and this flower bed went through amajor redevelopment . I had some losses in this bed over the winter , but it ’s still looking great .
This bloom garden is a3 - Season Perennial Garden . The tulip , daffodils and grape hyacinth start off the time of year in leaping . Next issue forth irises , peonies and baptisia . Then fall the Royal Candles Veronica , Yarrow and Becky Shasta Daisies . And while they are still blooming , the daylilies ( South Seas Daylilies , Little Pleasures and a few others ) and Black - eyed Susan get-go . For late summertime and fall we have Autumn Joy Sedum , and hardy chrysanthemum . For logical colouration , I always add some annual , like zonal geraniums , marigolds and madwort .

Another beautiful and democratic day lily , South Seas . I will have to say that I ’m not that keen on this day lily foliage . Here along the driveway where it ’s full , red-hot sun , the foliage on South Seas really reckon abominable .
Just as a side note , if you have daylily that do n’t have big foliage , simply trim the yellowish and brown stuff off .

Here is a beautiful terzetto of Royal Candles Veronica , Becky Shasta Daisies and Lemon Drop Marigolds . I rise the Lemon Drop Marigolds from seed and now they look like little Dubya .
This Saucy Seduction Yarrow is one of my many favorite perennials this yr . I love all the variation in flower colors . It also blossom for a very retentive prison term and will rebloom if deadheaded .
At the close of the drive flower bottom are these adorable Patricia ’s Pride Asiatic Lilies .
And next to the lilies , is this stunner , Gaudy Gaudy Daylily . And , yes she is a minute gaudy .
Heading around to the back yard , is this little bed alongside the deck . It has move through many changes in the last few years . This small bed is full of perennials : a Pee Gee Hydrangea that is trained in a Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree shape , a jumbo Summer Nights Heliopsis , Liatris , a few varieties of daylilies , and some annual to fulfil in .
This is the same box of this flower bed a few old age later . The hydrangea was spendy , but it was altogether worth it . I love how it has sate in and the prime are gorgeous in the descent .
From the same flower bottom , here ’s a lovely combination of Kobold Liatris and Dancing With Julie Daylily .
Here ’s a fancy day lily , named Moonlit Caress . Do you live the names of your daylilies ? I have around 90 different miscellanea and I get really bummed if I lose the tags and ca n’t remember their name calling . I judge you could call me a daylily geek !

Lots ofliliesin this expanse . Unfortunately , I do not know the names of lily like I do daylilies .
countenance ’s take a rise across the backyard to thetiered flower garden . The lilies have finished flower and the Coneflowers , Black - eyed Susan , Balloon Flowers , Liatris , Coreopsis and Daylilies are making their appearance . This bloom bed is on a slope and it ’s a substantial challenge to contrive and plant life . It ’s always a work in procession .
This Pow Wow Wild Berry Coneflower is my new favorite coneflower . It ’s only about 2 foot tall and it looks different shades of pink depending if it ’s sunny or overcast .
Here ’s a lovely low - grow combination of John Crech stonecrop and bellflower .

More beautiful oriental lily and coneflowers . The lilies sense amazing !
There ’s dozens of variety produce in this peak bed – bee balm , Zagreb coreopsis , coneflowers and daylily , etc .
And , I just have to show you another daylily – Pewter Pink . It ’s difficult to beguile in a photograph , but it sparkles in the sun . So pretty !
I ’m incertain of the variety show of the lily below , but I love it ! It ’s one of the few treasure left by the previous owners of our home . It has a light redolence that is just evidently heady .
PIN ITThe pinkish phlox , light pinkish coneflowers and blue balloon flowers make a pretty pigeonholing .
I impart you with this final flick . Although the sloped flower bed is challenging and a crazy design jam , when I wait at this view , I think it ’s beautiful .
