A family project to transform a back garden

Today we ’re see the garden makeover Lynne did during the COVID lockdown .

Up until this last year the most gardening I had ever done was mop the grass and extract weeds . During this stressful year I needed a project to stay reasonable , so my partner , my two girls , and I did our garden up and loved every minute . We made everything from scratch : the deck , thepergola(which we then made into a room ) . We made lounge cushion and even a measure made from my mom ’s sometime sewing board . I ca n’t really think how we ’ve done it , but I ’m very proud !

Here ’s the “ before ” shot . There ’s not a whole lot go away on in this little garden .

And here is the “ after ” ! Wow — they sure put their time waiting out the virus to good use ! It ’s very telling that they did all of this themselves .

It looks like Lynne and Ian had fun with this project !

Daughter Megan pitched in as well .

The finished deck has become a beautifuloutdoor room , thoroughgoing withseatingand a big plantation owner full of herbs .

The readable roof over the pergola means it can be enjoy even in rainy weather , but it still lets in light for some plants to grow .

Why would you ever have to go inside ?
