A gorgeous space 18 years in the making
Today we ’re visiting Susan Featherstone ’s spectacular gardens .
My hubby and I purchased our family in Bradford , Ontario , 18 years ago . At the fourth dimension we purchased it , it was approximately 30 yr old , had never been updated ( inside or out ) and had no landscape gardening — only a couple of omit shrubs andhostas . Over the year , we have update the house and have turned our yard into a virtual botanical garden , complete with an outdoor kitchen , a three - time of year gazebo , and a “ Zen ” stream bed . We have added flagstonepathwaysthrough the gardens that would rival those in photos of Europe in any magazine .
After a long daylight at work , we enjoy spending many peaceful hours enjoying the yield of our DoL in our private oasis .

yearbook incontainerson the top of the deck railing spillage down to make curtains of color .

Healthy genus Funka rug the basis with green , while a purple clematis ( Clematis‘Jackmanii ’ , Zones 4–11 ) covers the fence .

A blanket flagstone pathway moderate to the gazebo . marvelous hedge anddense plantingscreate a secret , plushy heaven .
Front gardens combine tree , shrubs , and perennial to make a colorful entrance to the home .
The narrow walk from the front to the back just hints at the beauty around the corner .

The interior of the summerhouse is full of animal comforts — and a cat making itself extremely comfortable .
Annual heyday blend withherbsfor a beautiful and virtual planting .
