The Miami Beach Botanical Garden is a 2.6 - Akko urban greenspace in Miami Beach , Fla. , founded in 1962 . It was transformed in 2011 with a landscape painting redevelopment design by South Florida landscape painting architect Raymond Jungles . The novel landscape showcases native Florida plants and tree admit bromeliads , palms , cycad , and orchids .
