I thought it might be helpful to jot down some guidance for anyone turn over joining in this hebdomadal meme . There are no dominion as such , but I suppose that over the month a normal has developed , as adopt :
1 ) Six things . Not eight , 12 , two , whatever . Six ! Arbitrary number , but there it is . A numbered list cultivate well .
2 ) Not just plant , could be anything . A success , a bankruptcy , a plan , a completed project , a feature , a preferred tool , anything at all . So long as it is …
3 ) materialize in your garden now , or now - ish . Or at least inagarden right now . Most family are discover their own garden , but some in the horticultural professing like to show off thing in their node garden . whole fine . As would six things from a visited garden , why not ?
4 ) Frequency . I post weekly but if that feels a bit much and is putting you off participating , reverence not . There is no obligation to post weekly . Some do monthly , some every now and again , biweekly , you get the delineation . talk of pictures … .
5 ) Photos please , ideally for each of the six items . We all like to have a olfactory organ . More than one photo of the same thing is also fine ( ie you might have more than six photograph in amount ) . I often do this . Do n’t choke about photo quality , I mostly just use the camera on my headphone .
6 ) verbalism is optional but very welcome . For illustration , if it ’s a industrial plant , where did it come from , do you like it , does it behave itself , any authoritative aid musical note etc etc , but …
7 ) Not too much verbiage . I can go on a bit myself , it ’s easily done , but since there are Six things , and a growing telephone number of Six posts to scan in a typical workweek , consider being a trivial frugal with the wordcount .
- Blog platforms render the easiest direction to enter , but Facebook work too , if you do n’t have a blog , as does Twitter for which a numbered thread works well – 280 characters is enough to give some good setting for each item . We have been using # SixOnSaturday hashtag , good for tweeted Sixes , and also for share Six web log post . Just write your blog post / tweet then get the tie to your article . Talking of links …
9 ) Links . Do n’t forget to add a comment to my weekly stake that incorporate a link to yours , that way everyone can easy find your Six place . There are several way to do this . Via WordPress “ parcel ” there is an choice to imitate the nexus to clipboard , I have a bun in the oven other blog platform carry in a similar fashion . Or you could just view your web log post on the internet like a visitor would , and simply copy the link from the address ginmill . For tweet - based Sixes , just use the menu on the tweet and imitate the connection . If you also append a link back to my blog from your stake , or let in my@cavershamjjtwitter handgrip if tweeting , that would be lovely .
10 ) if you have a twitter or facebook report , feel free to push Six posts from fellow participant , share the Six on Saturday honey . Use the # SixOnSaturday hashtag .
