This European garden welcomes spring with a wonderful flurry of light blue flowers
glad Monday GPODers !
So far this season we ’ve been treated to some lovely photos of bound plants from across the US.Early leap blooms from Carla in Pennsylvania , Daniel ’s efflorescence trees in Northern California , Lori ’s colorful scenes in the San Diego area , andfresh spring color from Beth in North Carolina . We ’re sticking with the theme of fresh and colorful spring flowers today , but we get to see it with a European twist . Yana Schneider in Langen , Germany ( located in eastern Germany , outside the urban center of Frankfurt ) has shared her spring garden with us , focusing on the bunch and peck of bantam blue flowers that fill up her borders in the early time of year .
My name is Yana Schneider and I am a hobby nurseryman from Ukraine , living in Langen , Hessen , Germany .

Three days ago my married man and I bought this attribute with a garden which consisted to 99 % of lawn . One year later , after a very hot summer time of year and a lot of Dominicus burned lawn , we decided to create flower bed for pollinator using sheet mulching proficiency and tally some bush and trees — f.e . juneberry(Amelanchierlamarckii , Zone 4–8 ) , Nipponese maples , rosebush , birch , etc.—for height and refinement .
I sleep with ego seeding flowers , so I purchase some packages offorget - me - not(Myosotis sylvatica , Zone 4–8)seeds , sprinkled them around and two years later the flower bed are bursting with these adorable lilliputian blue peak .
trust you delight the word-painting and video of my spring grim heaven .

With love from Germany , Yana Schneider
Even on a misty , foggy morning the tiny blue bloom of forget - me - nots absolutely glow . Beyond just being a pretty efflorescence , this short - live perennial or biyearly has a long account in Germany that dates back to the Middle Ages . You may have heard the old legend about a German knight being swept forth by a river and discard these flush to his madam cheering , “ forget me not ! ” But , of course , there is more fiction to that story than fact . It is more likely their blue color , which was associated with fidelity in the Middle Ages , that finally impart to the flower ’s name and substance . Read this short but enlightening article from The Metropolitan Museum of Art to learn about the story of forget - me - nots : When This You See , Remember Me .
A visiting ladybug , another exciting sign of the start of the season , sit down on a folio above a sea of striking dispirited blooms . Like in some areas of the US , draw a blank - me - nots can easily over seed in temperate part of Europe , and continue the plant in check is all-important to keep it from spreading out of ascendence . ( In some sates this plant is considered invasive , so be sure to check your local extension services orinvasive.orgbefore sowing any of your own seed )

Yana seems to have no matter keeping it contained , and I actually have sex that the blossom are sprinkled throughout the garden in different denseness . Some areas are huge masses , while other are more sporadic thud that add little sparkles of racy amongst the leafage of other plants yet to bloom .
A officious bee has a wealth of blooms to select from . What a fete for interfering pollinator at the head start of the season .
A wider view of the garden , with some evergreens and efflorescence woodies joining the forget - me - nots in their spring show . Again , we see the beautiful way Yana has spread these tiny gloomy bloom throughout her garden .

A piddling garden helper receive to enjoy the blue heyday while intemperately at work doing fountain chores !
last , Yana also included a TV of her fountain garden ! What a dainty to see the quad from so many dissimilar angles and perspectives .
Thank you so much for sharing you gorgeous spring garden with us , Yana ! As the season retain on and other blooms emerge , I ca n’t suppose ever block about these beautiful blue scenes 😉
